Adventure Dive and Travel

Most divers find underwater navigation a challenge, but rising to the challenge and mastering it can be one of your most fun and rewarding diving experiences. Skillful underwater navigation maximizes your diving pleasure, and makes you an accomplished scuba diver.

This course is unique because there is no classroom session! After reviewing your course materials in the comfort of your own home, the training takes place at the dive site and during three training dives. You will learn about environmental clues to help you navigate, how to use a compass for precision, patterns that aid navigation, navigational instruments, and other topics. Then, you will practice and perfect the navigation skills you need to master to become proficient in underwater navigation. The training dives are scheduled during our trips to Mermet Springs or Haigh Quarry.

At the completion of this course you will receive a PADI Underwater Navigation Specialty Card. This specialty can be applied toward the Master Diver program. For more information on this prestigious rating, please ask your instructor.
