Junior Rescue

Kids age 12-14 who have completed their Jr. Advanced Open Water certification can continue to increase their diving skills and knowledge with the PADI Jr. Rescue course. This course is the same PADI Rescue course that adults complete for their certification. It will give them valuable emergency and rescue skills AND increase their confidence in their own abilities.

Prerequisite

  • PADI Jr. Advanced Open Water or equivalent
  • Emergency First Response Certification within the last 2 years (or equivalent current certification in CPR/AED, Oxygen Management, Basic Life Support and Secondary Care)
  • 20 Dives, including Night, Deep and Navigation from PADI Advanced Open Water
  • Minimum age 12

Provided by Student

  • PADI Crewpak with Rescue Diver manual and DVD
  • All personal scuba equipment for open water dives
  • Travel costs and entry fees associated with the open water dives

Homework & Class Preparation

By the first night of class, you need to watch the Rescue DVD, read the Rescue manual and have the knowledge reviews at the end of each chapter completed. We will be diving in the pool on both class nights, so be sure to bring your bathing suit, towel and dive gear including wetsuit (we will supply the tanks and weights for the pool sessions).

CPR/AED, O2, First Aid and Secondary Care Certifications

Our Emergency First Response course is second to none in providing the high level of medical training that rescue diving requires.   Unlike the standard CPR-1st Aid courses you’ll find, EFR training is more comprehensive, more thorough, and contains an oxygen management module that is invaluable for handling diving emergencies.  The EFR course can be completed any time prior to the Rescue open water dives.
